Why Should I Join?
Volunteering with IVAC is a chance to gain real-world emergency medical experience while making a difference in your own community. Members receive top-notch training and work alongside skilled EMTs, learning valuable skills that can be used for a lifetime. High school students can join as junior members, building teamwork, leadership, and healthcare knowledge before graduation. No matter your age or background, you’ll become part of a supportive team dedicated to saving lives and keeping Irvington safe.

Membership Levels

High School
High school members receive free CPR and First Aid training and have the opportunity to serve as ambulance aides, assisting EMTs with patient care and gaining valuable hands-on experience in emergency medical services.

College
College members can serve as EMTs, drivers, or both, contributing directly to emergency response and patient care in our community. They are only expected to take shifts when they are home for the summer or on school breaks.

Adult
Adult members can serve as EMTs, drivers, or both, playing an essential role in delivering timely emergency care and transporting patients safely. They only need to commit to the number of hours that fit their schedule.
